Philippine School for Maritime & Medical Access, INC., started its humble beginnings as a sole proprietorship in year 1994 and eventually converted into corporation in 7th July 2000. It was put up by individuals who had wide teaching and managing experience in training centers and manning agencies. Most of the incorporators are deck and engine officers who had expertise in their own field. Generally programs of PSMMA are geared for sea based and land based workers who wish to upgrade their skills and work in overseas shipping companies. Due to high demands of workers onboard international shipping vessels. PSMMA offered additional courses to address the needs of the market. Last May 2007 PSMMA opened its first Maritime & HRM school in Quezon Cuty offering Maritime and Hospitality and Restaurant Management course registered by Technical Educational & Skills Development Authority and accredited by Marina.
